In order to spread knowledge about our work here at HerpaWorld we decided
to make this a place where the public can visit and learn more. So the way
we chose to go about is to open the facilities also as a zoo in a near future. This
is something that is still under construction, but we are planning the opening for
the middle of 2006.
The zoo will function as a bridge for information to people about our work
and the animals we are trying to save. The Paradise Reptile Zoo will always take great
pride in delivering educational wildlife presentations that are entertaining and exciting.
Experience has shown that this promotes the educational message in a way that reaches and
excites people who might otherwise not be attentive to conservation messages.
This forum is well suited to educate visitors to the Zoo who may well travel to areas that
contain reptiles, however, the educational objective of the Paradise Zoo is to promote a greater
understanding of Reptiles for residents living in reptile territory.
A general rule when it comes to animals is that you save what you
love. And without knowing what these animals even looks like, it is impossible
to love them.
We hope that with this we can help to create more understanding and respect for
these astonishing animals. We want to let people know that endangered animals
are not something you should kill at sight or turn into a boot.
We want to inform the local visitors, both school classes and private persons about these animals,
but this is also something that of course is open for everyone. Foreign visitors are also
very welcome to visit.
It is not only good for generating income for our projects, but also good help for the town of Puerto Galera.
